On a launch pad in Canaveral, Florida the SpaceX Falcon 9 was scheduled to land on a floating object in space. The attempt failed because a thruster on the rocket that controls steering during flight failed to work. Now takeoff is being scheduled for a different time. Something I learned reading this article is when rockets and space crafts are ready to come back to earth, they burn up while falling through the atmosphere. All the millions of dollars put into making the flight possible falls into the oceans.
It might make a huge mess on the schedule that NASA had. Hopefully once they have the rocket ready to launch everything goes back on plan. Its a good thing that they found out about the error before it launched, Which was drift on one of the two thrust vector actuators on the second stage, The thrust are what helps the rocket steer. The next possible launch attempt is at 5:09 a.m. ET Friday.

They are now trying to schedule a new different time and hopefully it works that time. What i learned was that all the money they put to it sometimes doesn't actually work so tehy have to put more and more money to fix the situations.
Private spaceflight company SpaceX canceled a launch of attempt the pioneering step of landing the rocket's first stage on a floating platform. The problem was with the falcon 2nd stage the rocket was moving to another direction. SpaceX and nasas are re-launching the rocket this afternoon at 5:09.
Its bad that the rocket did not launch. But they are looking for the reason it didnt launch. Im surprised that they didnt check the rocket before . I hope next time if they try to launch a rocket it works.
This is dissapointing. Elon Musk must be sad. Oh well.
